久山は2007年の冬にここを訪れ、風邪で39度の高熱を出しながらも果敢に撮影をしました。
Monument Valley & Sedona AZ , as a sacred place for native American from ancient times,the place are popular with many power spots dotted.He visited here in winter of 2007.

アリゾナ州セドナの神々しいレッドロックの岩山にそびえるチャペル。
この礼拝堂の写真は「神の子」著：薬丸 岳（光文社）の表紙に使われました。
セドナは古くからネイティブアメリカンの聖地とされ、パワースポットが点在する癒しの町として人気です。
The Chapel of the Holy Cross was nestled beautifully into a red rock roost in Sedona.

This photo was used for the jacket of the novel-“Kami no ko=Son of God” by Mr.Yakumaru. (Kobun publishing.co.)

「今日の１枚」というシリーズ。ちょっと不思議なローマ字でタイトルをつけたのは久山の遊び心です。
365枚たまったら「日めくりカレンダー」にするつもりで撮影していました。
A series of “A photo of the day” titled of his unique spelling.
He was going to make a daily calendar if he could finish taking 365 photos.

『小説宝石』（光文社）の表紙として撮影した数々の作品。
末期癌宣告を受けた直後に決まった仕事でしたが、「不安が残る中での希望の仕事。」と体調が不安定の中取り組んだ作品です。
Work for the cover of magazine “Shousetsu Houseki”,
which he was offered right after he was diagnosed as terminal cancer.
He was working on this under his unstable physical condition,
Having anxiety about not accomplishing the work, yet the work was his cherished hope.
