Born in Okayama City (Okayama Prefecture) in 1958. Graduated from the Osaka University of Arts and entered Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. After leaving Dai Nippon Printing, set off on a journey to the United States, wandering around taking photographs for one and a half years. Started a career as a commercial photographer in Osaka after returning to Japan. Moved his career base to Tokyo and started taking pictures for magazines as well. Energized by journeys—from the mainland United States to Hawaii, Italy, Southeast Asia and locations across Japan—delivered a series of unique photographs.
In the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake, travelled to the affected areas and took pictures of the aftermath of the disaster from a unique perspective.
Passed away on November 7, 2013 (at the age of 55).
久山 城正
1958年、岡山県岡山市に生まれる。
大阪芸術大学を卒業後、大日本印刷に入社するも、退社して単身アメリカに渡り、1年半もの間、放浪しながら写真を撮り続けた。
帰国後はコマーシャルカメラマンとして大阪で活動を開始。
その後、拠点を東京に移し、雑誌の世界にも活動領域を拡大してきた。
アメリカ本土、ハワイ、イタリア、東南アジア、そして日本国内各地……。旅を創作のエネルギーとしながら次々にユニークな作品を送り出す。
また、東日本大震災の直後から被災地にも通い、独自の視点で震災の爪痕を切り取ったことでも知られている。
2013年11月７日永眠（享年55歳）。
